Richmond County Sheriff’s Office closes portion of Boy Scout Road as Augusta Fire Department battles structure fire
Augusta, GA – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office temporarily closed a section of Boy Scout Road while firefighters responded to a structure fire in the area.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Boy Scout Road was shut down between Skinner Mill Road and Commons Boulevard to allow the Augusta Fire Department to safely manage the incident.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while first responders worked at the scene.
Authorities later announced that the roadway had reopened after the incident.
