AUGUSTA, Ga. — Augusta Georgia Government is inviting residents to participate in Earth Day Augusta 2026, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Augusta Common, 836 Reynolds Street.

The free, family-friendly event will be hosted in partnership with the Augusta Engineering and Environmental Services Department, Augusta Utilities, and the Phinizy Center for Water Sciences.

Officials said the event will feature interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, educational booths, and hands-on activities focused on sustainability, water conservation, and environmental protection.

Local government departments, environmental organizations, and community partners are expected to participate throughout the day.

Augusta Utilities Director Wes Byne said the event reflects a shared commitment to protecting natural resources and educating the public on sustainable practices.

He added that Earth Day Augusta provides residents an opportunity to connect directly with professionals working on environmental initiatives across the city.

Attendees will also be able to learn about ongoing environmental projects and explore practical steps they can take at home and in their communities to support conservation efforts.

Officials encouraged families and residents of all ages to attend and take part in the day’s activities focused on environmental awareness and community engagement.
