Augusta fire department hosts Augusta University fellows for all doctors event
Augusta, GA – The Augusta Fire Department recently hosted the Fellows of Augusta University–Medical College of Georgia for an All Doctors Event focused on emergency response and patient care.
During the event, fire department personnel shared real-world scenarios and demonstrated Fire and EMT safety techniques used in initial response situations, including air lift care in coordination with Wellstar.
Officials said the training opportunity allowed participants to gain a better understanding of emergency operations and the critical steps involved in pre-hospital care.
The Augusta Fire Department emphasized that partnerships like this strengthen each link in the chain of survival by improving collaboration between medical professionals and first responders.
Department leaders noted that working together across disciplines helps build a more unified and effective approach to protecting the community and advancing life-saving services.
