AFD crews complete mental health training with Augusta University

Augusta, GA – The Augusta, Georgia Fire Department participated in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training provided by Augusta University to strengthen mental health awareness among its personnel.

The program is designed to help firefighters recognize signs of mental health challenges and respond appropriately, ensuring support is available during crises.
