As the city prepares to celebrate all things Irish, residents and visitors alike are gearing up to don their green attire and line the streets of downtown Augusta for the festive event.

The parade will begin in the James Brown Arena Parking Lot and follow a carefully planned route through the heart of the city. Participants will travel up 7th Street, turn left onto Greene Street, right onto 11th Street, and then right again onto Broad Street, concluding at 6th Street.

This year’s parade will be led by Matt Kelly, who serves as the chairman of the event. Kelly recently spoke with NewsChannel 6’s Mary Morrison, offering insight into the preparations for the parade and what attendees can expect.
