AUGUSTA, GA – A 39-year-old Augusta man, Terrell Lawshawn Murray, is behind bars after being arrested for allegedly attempting to force a disabled woman to perform oral sex on him. Murray has been charged with Exploitation of an Elderly or Disabled Person and Aggravated Sodomy.

The incident came to light when the victim’s mother, who had been in the bathroom, heard “strange noises” coming from the living room. Upon investigating, the mother reportedly discovered Murray standing with his genitals exposed and her 18-year-old daughter kneeling in front of him. In a panic, the mother is said to have physically assaulted Murray before calling the police.

Deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene shortly after the mother made the call. Murray was taken into custody without incident. He now faces felony charges, including exploitation of a disabled person and aggravated sodomy.

The details surrounding the victim’s condition have not been fully disclosed, but authorities confirmed that the victim is disabled. Investigators are continuing their efforts to gather further information related to the case.

Murray remains in custody at the Richmond County Jail as the investigation continues. Authorities have not commented on whether he has retained legal counsel.
