Burke County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Fatal Shooting in Hephzibah

BURKE COUNTY, GA – The Burke County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning, February 23, 2025, in Hephzibah, Georgia. Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 5:45 a.m. in the 800 block of Four Points Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, investigators discovered 30-year-old Telvin Osborne in the master bedroom with a single gunshot wound to the chest. Despite efforts to save him, Osborne was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Authorities made contact with the complainant, identified as 30-year-old Hannah Cobb, who is currently cooperating with the ongoing investigation. According to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, Cobb is working with investigators as they piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Out of respect for Osborne’s family, further details of the incident have been withheld until his loved ones have been properly notified.

The BCSO Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is actively working to gather all relevant information related to the case. At this time, no additional details have been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
