Augusta, GA – Richmond County authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Virginia and Chester Avenue.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene where an individual riding a scooter was struck by a Chevy truck, possibly red in color. The driver of the truck fled the scene immediately following the incident.

The individual on the scooter sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, authorities report that the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
