Robbery Reported at Augusta Convenience Store

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Authorities are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Super Express convenience store on Central Avenue Saturday evening. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 9:37 p.m. following reports of the incident.

Deputies at the scene were informed that a Black male suspect, wearing a dark hoodie, gray mask, and gloves, entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money from the cash register, along with cigarettes. After the suspect received the items, he fled the store on foot in the direction of Druid Park Avenue.

At this time, the sheriff’s office has not released any further information regarding the suspect or additional details of the ongoing investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward to assist in the case.

The investigation remains active as deputies work to identify and apprehend the individual involved.
