Shooting in Waynesboro Leaves One Dead; Police Seek Suspect

WAYNESBORO, Ga. — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in the Magnolia Acres area of Waynesboro. According to the Waynesboro Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 4:20 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Raynard Ellison suffering from a gunshot wound inside a family member’s apartment. Ellison was transported to Burke Health, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Waynesboro Police Department has identified Julian Titorian Bright as a suspect in the shooting. Bright, who is described as having black hair and brown eyes, was last seen in the Magnolia Acres area. Authorities have classified him as armed and dangerous, urging the public to exercise caution.

The police are actively seeking information about Bright’s whereabouts. Investigators are asking anyone with details regarding the shooting or Bright’s location to contact Investigator Faith Cupp at (706) 526-5013.
