Serious Injuries Reported in Augusta After Single-Vehicle Crash

AUGUSTA, Ga. — One person is in serious condition following a major car crash in Augusta on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of Deans Bridge Road. According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the vehicle was traveling north at a high rate of speed when they lost control. The vehicle crossed over the median and into the southbound lanes before flipping over.

Deputies responded to the scene and were able to extricate the driver, who was then transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities have not released additional details as of late Sunday, and the crash remains under investigation. Further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
