Second Suspect Arrested in Deadly July Shooting in Augusta

Augusta, GA – A second suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred in July, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Deondray Denzell Donovan, 20, of the 3500 block of Snowden Drive, was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop on Gordon Highway near Olive Road on Thursday. Donovan faces charges related to the murder of Sadiq Antonio Brown, a 24-year-old from Wrens, Georgia.

The shooting took place on July 5 in the parking lot of A-Town Wings, located at 2622 Peach Orchard Road. Brown was shot at least once and later died at Piedmont Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m.

Donovan is one of three individuals charged in connection with the crime. Malcolm Bryant, 19, was arrested on August 19, 2024, and is also facing charges of murder and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime. Kieran Darnell Walters, 18, remains at large, and authorities are urging the public to come forward with information.

The sheriff’s office has warned that Walters is considered armed and dangerous, with deputies noting that he is known to frequent the Harrisburg neighborhood.
