According to the Richmond County Coroner’s Office, 32-year-old James Wise, a resident of Augusta, was fatally shot during the incident. Deputies responded to a gunshot victim report at approximately 6:10 p.m. on Saturday, arriving at a residence in the 1900 block of Cooney Circle. Wise was found inside, suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead at 7:09 p.m.

Tillman, who is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing around 140 pounds, is considered armed and dangerous. He has black hair and brown eyes, and authorities believe he frequents the Jennings Place apartment complex and surrounding areas. Two other individuals, 16-year-old Lucas Bradley and 16-year-old Tayvioun Harden, have already been taken into custody in connection with the crime. Both suspects have been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. They are currently being held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.

An autopsy for Wise is scheduled, and investigators continue to search for Tillman as they work to piece together the details of the tragic incident. At the scene, a large crowd gathered shortly after the shooting, according to a News 12 crew on the ground.

Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that may aid in locating Tillman and bringing justice to the victim’s family.
