Reed Woodward Named 2025 Star Student for Richmond County

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Reed Woodward, a senior at the Academy of Richmond County, has been named the 2025 Star Student for Richmond County, a prestigious honor recognizing Georgia’s top high school seniors and the teachers who have had the greatest impact on their academic success.

The Star Program, a long-standing tradition in Georgia, celebrates outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and leadership. Woodward, who was surprised by the recognition, expressed his pride and excitement upon receiving the award. “It’s pretty surprising. I didn’t know if I was going to get it or not. I worked really hard, and I’m very proud about it and very excited about it,” Woodward said.

Along with the title of Star Student, Woodward’s teacher, David Bradberry, was also honored for his instrumental role in Woodward’s academic development. Bradberry’s dedication and guidance have helped Woodward achieve such high academic standards, making the award a shared victory.

Woodward, who plans to attend Georgia Technical College in the fall, is set to pursue a degree in computational media, a field that combines technology and creativity. His plans reflect a strong interest in innovation and problem-solving, areas in which he has excelled throughout his high school career.

As the 2025 Star Student for Richmond County, Reed Woodward is a shining example of academic excellence and hard work, inspiring future generations of students to strive for success.
