Augusta, GA – A pedestrian was killed in a tragic accident Wednesday evening in Augusta, according to the Richmond County Coroner’s Office. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Deans Bridge Road at Barton Chapel Road. The victim, a man whose identity has not yet been released, was struck by a vehicle while crossing the roadway.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly arrived at the scene and transported the man to Doctors Hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m.
