Man Dies After Shooting at Augusta Apartment Complex
AUGUSTA, Ga. — A man was fatally shot Monday morning at an apartment complex on Wrightsboro Road, authorities confirmed.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at The Landings at 237, formerly known as Fox Trace Apartments, where the shooting occurred.
The victim, identified by the Richmond County coroner as 25-year-old Jerome Burley of Augusta, was transported to Doctors Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 9:26 a.m.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear. Authorities have not announced any arrests as the investigation continues.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information to come forward.
