According to the Richmond County Coroner’s Office, Ammon Taylor, of Augusta, was riding a moped on the 1500 block of Brown Road when he was struck by a vehicle. The accident occurred at approximately 11:33 a.m. on Tuesday, with emergency responders quickly arriving at the scene.

Taylor was transported to Wellstar/MCG hospital for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead at 2:13 p.m. The circumstances leading up to the collision are still under investigation by local authorities.
