Alabama Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Woman with Firearm at Augusta Apartment Complex

AUGUSTA, Ga. – An Alabama man was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly threatening a woman with a firearm at Falcon Crest Apartments off Wrightsboro Road. The suspect, 61-year-old Wayne William Boyle of Huntsville, Alabama, was taken into custody and booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center. He faces multiple felony charges, including Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats and Acts, Possession of a Firearm or Knife During a Crime, and Possession of Cocaine.

According to arrest warrants, the incident unfolded around 1:25 a.m. on April 14 when Boyle allegedly pointed a black .357 Magnum Colt Trooper revolver at the victim. During the confrontation, he is said to have threatened to “kill her and her family.” The victim, who was not named in the report, immediately contacted authorities.

Richmond County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and began their investigation, which led to a search warrant for Boyle’s residence at the apartment complex. Authorities reportedly discovered 0.1 grams of cocaine, which was found on top of a handheld mirror in the bathroom.

Boyle is now facing charges for terrorizing the victim with his threatening behavior, as well as the possession of a controlled substance found during the search. Law enforcement officials have emphasized the seriousness of the situation, especially given the nature of the threats made against the victim and her family.

As of Monday, Boyle remains incarcerated at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center, awaiting further legal proceedings. This arrest adds to the ongoing efforts by local authorities to address incidents of violence and drug-related offenses in the community.
