Armed Robbery at Family Dollar on Mike Padgett Highway: Search Underway for Suspect

Augusta, GA – Deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) are actively searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Family Dollar store on Mike Padgett Highway.

According to the RCSO, the robbery took place at approximately 6:30 p.m. on February 27, 2025, at the Family Dollar located at 5109 Mike Padgett Highway. Law enforcement officials say the suspect, described as a black male wearing a white hoodie and a black mask, entered the store armed with a firearm.

In a statement released to the public, RCSO officials confirmed that they are canvassing the area in hopes of locating the suspect. Authorities have not released further details about the suspect’s identity or the specifics of the robbery, but they continue to follow up on leads.
